About the AMS at NC State

Our Mission

We are a graduate student chapter sponsored by the American Mathematical Society, devoted to the furtherance of the interests of mathematical scholarship and research. This includes, but is not limited to,

• the communication of mathematics graduate student research,
• helping new mathematics graduate students adjust to graduate life, and
• assisting and informing NC state math grad students on the job market.

Our Members

Every NC State student in the Mathematics-PhD program is nominated for membership of the AMS.
